DC Lydeardlea Angel in Disguise HXAs HSBs is an import from Great Britain.  “Joey” finished his championship easily and won Awards of Merit at the both the first and the second Border Collie Club of Greater Los Angeles specialties.  In addition to being a Champion of Record, Joey is also a Herding Champion, making him an AKC "Dual Champion".  Joey’s eyes are clear, and he has OFA Good Hips. He is a proven producer - puppies from previous litters have finished their breed championships and earned AKC herding titles.

Some breeders choose a stud based upon the dog, and others look primarily at the pedigree.  Here, I’m thrilled with both.  Joey is a nice-sized, masculine dog with good bone and nice angles.  He has proven working ability and plenty of drive.  Plus, Joey’s pedigree contains some lines that I have admired for several years.  Joey’s maternal grandsire is Crufts Dog CC winner, GB Sh Ch Brooksbid Country Classic.  “Moss” is a dog that I fell in love with the first time I saw his picture in a Border Collie Club of Great Britain yearbook back in 1997.  He is a tri-coloured dog with a strong head, solid conformation, and outgoing temperament.  Joey’s dam is a Moss daughter named GB Sh Ch Lydeardlea Angel Eyes.  “Angel” is the gorgeous cover girl on Barbara Swann’s book, The Complete Border Collie  (see below).

Ch Tainsh New Dawn At BonniDune HSAs STDs is a combination of top Australian, British, New Zealand, and American show lines bred back to the ultimate working line of Dual International Supreme Champion Spot (ISDS # 161819). “Darcy” finished her Championship with 18 points, 4 majors, and 1 Best of Breed. She earned her ASCA Started Sheep title her first weekend trialing, and won two 2nd places doing it.  She earned her AKC HSAs in two consecutive weekends with a 2nd place and two 3rd places!  Darcy has been eye tested clear, and has OFA Good hips, OFA Normal elbows, patellae & thyroid.

Darcy's sire is one of the top dogs in the United States.  Many kennels talk about versatility, but Duncan defines it.  He is an AKC Dual Champion and has his CDX plus one leg toward his Utility title in obedience.  His show record includes winning an Award of Merit at the 1999 National Specialty, an Award of Excellence at the 2001 AKC Eukanuba Invitational Classic, Best of Breed at the Louisville Kennel Club/KTBCC supported entry show in 2002, and he has multiple Group Placements.  He has also won multiple High In Trials in herding and earned multiple Front & Finish First & Foremost Honorable Mentions in obedience. 

Darcy’s maternal grandmother is the only Border Collie to ever win Reserve Best in Show at Crufts. Puppies from Darcy’s first litter are just now starting to come out in the breed ring.  Her daughter Myst won Reserve Winners Bitch at the prestigious Louisville Kennel Club show in March 2004 and then won back-to-back 4-point majors in Terre Haute, Indiana the following month.  All Darcy's puppies have demonstrated the desire to work – whether it’s sheepherding, agility, obedience, or tracking.
