Derry is the puppy who came to visit and never went home.
He has a sweet and gentle temperament, and his only naughty habit is his propensity to
steal food off the countertops (those long legs come in handy). He is my upcoming herding trials dog, exhibiting herding ability reminiscent of his
great-grandfather: 1991 and 1994 International Supreme Champion Spot (161819). He
earned his ASCA STDs title, placing fourth both days in a large, competitive Started class.
Derry returned to the breed ring after taking time off to mature. He
finished with 17 points, 3 majors, and one Best of Breed. Derry's classic style
was recognized at the 2003 BCSA Specialty, where he won first place American
Bred Dog. I handled Derry to his first point, but
thanks go to Debbie & Rhonda Willoughby,
Missy Brown and Ronni DeLay for their skillful presentation
of Derry to earn his Championship.
Derry eye tested clear as a puppy and annually thereafter. CEA & CL Genotype NORMAL. He has OFA Excellent hips.
