"Driver"

Driver came to BonniDune as an adult because his original owner became too ill to keep him. Driver's grandfather, 1991 and 1994 International Supreme Champion Spot (ISDS 161819), is also our own Darcy and Derry's great-grandfather.
Driver lived in Texas with Barbara Palmer of Bluechip Border Collies. Barbara started Driver in herding trials, earning a PT and one leg toward an HSAs in 3 days. Driver then went to California to do herding with Terry Kenney at T.A.S.K. Farms. Driver and Terry earned an ASCA STDs with placements, and finished Driver's AKC HSAs, also with placements. Driver earned his HSAs title the same day Duncan did, winning second place and scoring only one point short of Reserve High In Trial!
Driver went back with Barbara and she put his HIAs,
his HSBs and his HRD I titles on him!
Barbara also introduced Driver to the conformation ring, and he
finished his breed championship quickly. He even won a
Best of Breed out of the classes!
The ABCA "de-registered" Driver when he received his conformation
championship. What a shame that the ABCA's narrow-mindedness means that this lovely and talented dog's outstanding bloodline is now lost to American working breeders.
Driver's eyes tested clear as a puppy and annually thereafter, and he had OFA Excellent hips. Driver carried the red (chocolate) color.
