July 31, 2011 I've been bad about updating, but will make an effort to catch up soon. Reiver (LittleMan X Myst) had a beautiful litter on June 15, 2011. Three boys and three girls. One girl and two boys are still available and pictures are up. Fury (Coh X Cameo) passed away on July 6, 2011 in a tragic accident. He will be sorely missed. February 27, 2010 Reiver (LittleMan X Myst) had her puppies today. Four boys and two girls. Mom and pups are doing well. I will post pictures soon. Trevor (LittleMan X Myst) finished his CD title with a 193 and 3rd place. He then went on to get two bumper legs - both with 196 1/2, which earned him another 2nd place and a 3rd place. January 7, 2010 Sorry it's been a long time since I've updated. Jack (Cap X Sheena), Mac (Cap X Sheena), Blitz (Joey X Darcy), Winney (Porter X Darcy) and Risky (Joey X Darcy) all earned new titles since last May. When I get a chance I will go back through my emails in order to itemize their achievements, but in the meantime, Congratulations to All! Ch BonniDune's Blue Genes CGC HIC is now back home in Indiana. "Levi" is a beautiful blue boy from my 2004 Duncan X Hazie litter. His beloved owner, Syl Truitt, sent him home because she has some health issues that preclude her from being able to keep up with this little blue ball of fire. While I am quite sad that Syl is not feeling well, I am absolutely thrilled to have Levi back home. Reiver (LittleMan X Myst) has been bred to Brayden (Ch Winpara Dragonfire RN). If she's pregnant, the pups will be due at the beginning of March. Uherdit Border Collies has a new litter of puppies sired by Cap! Click here for more information. My beloved Darcy passed away. She was not been feeling well the day I took my dogs to the kennel for boarding while I was at the National. So, I took Darcy to the vet instead of the kennel and she died sometime during the night of October 18, 2008. The necropsy failed to identify a cause of death. She is greatly missed. She finished her Rally Excellent title with a first place and then went on to earn the final leg of her obedience Companion Dog title with a tie for second. It had been a long day, and she lost the runoff, but still got her title with a third place! Melody is now Glentress Chain Of Love CD RE PT STDsd JHD CGC. Congratulations to Melody and Bob!!! May 16, 2008 Ch BonniDune's Pipe Down Mr McBeeVee TD was killed by a motorcycle on April 24th. "Do" had already earned his Championship and a tracking title. He was training in obedience and had just started on sheep. He was a dog who was game for anything.... That was a very sad day for me and for Do's co-owner, Carol Clark. Gingerbell Quattro X Quattro (Duncan X Sophie) won Best of Breed at the Italian Border Collie Club Annual Show under respected Breeder-Judge Pat Wilkinson of Altricia Border Collies. "Vale" is scheduled to make her debut in Obedience and Agility soon, so she is a versatile girl. Congratulations, Vale, Elisabetta & Michela! February 24, 2008 Levi (Duncan X Haze) finished his championship today in Chicago, Illinois. He is now Ch BonniDune's Blue Genes. Levi earned five points, including one major, when he was still young. He came out again as an adult and finished in three weekends. His first weekend out he took Winners Dog and Best of Winners both days, picking up a total of three points. He then went to Greenville where he won Reserve the first day and a five-point major the third day. He then traveled to Chicago, where he won Reserve on Saturday and then a three-point major on Sunday. He finished with 16 points and 3 majors. Congratulations, Syl and Levi! December 16, 2007 My computer crashed in early October and I was unable to update my website for a few months. But life went on, and now I have a ton of pages that need to be updated! On the puppy front, there is still one male puppy available from the LittleMan X Myst litter. Hopefully I will find a home for him soon, as he is a great little pup. I am co-owning a girl from that litter with Terry Kenney. Click here to see more about her. Cameo and her little girl both went home to Deb Degidio in Minnesota, and the Coh X Cameo boy stayed here at BonniDune. Click here to learn more about him. "Do" (Stewart X Jane) and "Stewart" both finished their championships the same weekend in December. "Do" was in Arkansas and "Stewart" was in Minnesota. Congratulations, Carol and Do! And, thank you to Deb Degidio for finishing Stewart! There are a few more titles that were earned while my computer was down, but I will have to sort through a bunch of emails before I can list them! October 2, 2007 This was quite a busy weekend for me, and I have a lot to report. First, the Cap X Paige puppies all went to their new homes, and the last Cap X Sheena puppy has now gone to his new home. I will be updating the puppy pages in the next few days. Good luck to all the new owners! Also on the puppy front, on Friday, September 28th, the LittleMan X Myst puppies arrived. They are all black & white, 3 boys and 2 girls. The Coh X Cameo puppies were born via c-section on Saturday, September 29th. There are only two - a boy and a girl. Pictures of all the puppies will be coming soon. Cap went to his first AKC herding trials and earned his Herding Excellent title with a Second place and two Fifth places. He is now Cap Of Killiebrae HXAs! While in Kentucky I got to see Cap's newest litter of puppies, out of Ch Majestic Abbracadabbra NA NAJ. Cap and Abby had 7 boys and 1 girl. A few of the boys are still available - for information go to Majestic Border Collies by clicking here. September 25, 2007 Uherdit War Chief RN (Lachlan X Myst) went to his first shows in Sullivan, Missouri. "Cedric" won Reserve Winners Dog the first day, Winners Dog, Best of Winners & Best of Breed Saturday, and Winners Dog again on Sunday. Cedric is a beautiful example of a smooth-coated Border Collie, and I am quite proud to have co-bred this boy together with Debbie Willoughby. Congratulations, Debbie & Cedric! Do (Stewart X Jane) picked up another point toward his breed championship in Gray Summit, Missouri. He now has 9 points, including one major. Congratulations, Do & Carol! Gingerbell Quattro X Quattro (Duncan X Sophie) made her debut at the Border Collie Club of Italy's show. "Vale" won Best Puppy under Breeder-Specialist Judge Bob Tunnicliff. Her littermate, Gingerbell Queen Ruby Tuesday, won 3rd best puppy. Congratulations to Vale & Elisabetta & Michela and to Ruby & Luisa!! September 9, 2007 Lace (Stewart X Jane) won Winners Bitch and Best of Winners today to finish her Championship. She is now Ch BonniDune Legacy In Black. Thanks go to Emily Fish for handling our girl. Congratulations, Karen & Lace! Bud (Bandit X Darcy) went to an AHBA herding trial this weekend. He finished his HRD-II title with a first place and then moved up to start working on his HRD-III title. Bud won his class again, and also won High In Trial! Congratulations, Sue, Ed & Bud! Four of Sheena's puppies have now left to go to their new homes. One boy is still available. To see pictures, click here. August 29, 2007 I took a few candid pictures of the puppies and put them up on their pages. The pups had been playing all day, so they are a bit dirty (what can I say, they're puppies - that happens)! August 28, 2007 Blitz (Joey X Darcy) finished his open FAST title (OF) with a first place, and then got his first Excellent FAST leg with a first place as well. He Q'd in Ex. standard with a fouth place and Ex. JWW with a first place for his first double Q towards the MACH! Congratulations, Blitz & Trisha! I added Logan, Flower, Belle & Cappy to my Rainbow Bridge page today. Even after all this time I was crying the entire time I worked on it. To see, click here or go to "Meet the Dogs" and then click on "Missed Friends". August 27, 2007 Cameo had her ultrasound today and she is definitely pregnant! Pups are due September 28, 2007. Myst hasn't had an ultrasound, but co-owner Debbie Willoughby thinks she's pregnant, too. For more information, click here or go to "Meet the Dogs" and then click on "Upcoming & Past Litters". August 26, 2007 Bud (Bandit X Darcy) finished his HXAs title on Saturday, making him Ch BonniDune This Bud's For Ewe HXAs HIAsd STDsdc. Sunday he won 2nd place and Reserve High in Trial, earning his first 4 Herding Championship points. Bud is well on his way to becoming another third generation Dual Champion! Congratulations, Bud, Sue & Ed! August 12, 2007 I've added pictures to my "Extended Family" page. I updated "Ancestors" to reflect some of the new bloodlines that I've brought in. I also added some new pictures of Duncan kids. Babies sired by BonniDune stud dogs are listed under "descendants" on the "Extended Family" page if they were not bred by me. I'm just as proud of them as I am of BonniDune puppies! Click here or go to "Meet the Dogs" and then click on "Extended Family". August 7, 2007 Blitz (Joey X Darcy) took winners dog on Friday at Marshall for one more breed point, up to 11 now! Saturday he did an agility trial where he won the FAST class. He placed 4th in Excellent Standard and just missed out on first place in the JWW class by one knocked bar. Sunday he got his first Rally Excellent leg with a 4th place. A very good weekend overall. Congratulations, Blitz & Trisha! I put up "first meal" pictures of both Sheena's and Paige's puppies. July 30, 2007 Risky (Joey X Darcy) got his second CDX leg on Sunday. Congratulations, Kolter & Risky! July 28, 2007 Risky (Joey X Darcy) was ranked the # 4 "Novice A" Border Collie in the country for 2006 by Front & Finish. Risky is now working in Open and got his first CDX leg this weekend. Congratulations, Kolter & Risky! On the home front, the puppies are doing well. Sheena’s have their eyes open and are starting to climb out of the whelping box. Paige’s are busy eating, sleeping and still working hard to catch up with their ½ sibling/cousins in size! Myst has been bred to LittleMan and Cameo is going to be bred to Coh this weekend. We’ll know in about 4 weeks if they are pregnant. Thank goodness for co-owners Debbie Willoughby and Deb Degidio - I sure couldn’t do this alone. Some people have asked me why I’m planning to have 4 litters in one year. The answer to that is simple – one of these litters was planned for last year and the other for the year before that! Nature doesn’t always pay attention to even the best laid plans. July 20, 2007 Cap and Paige's puppies are here! Paige had five big, healthy babies this morning. Four girls and a boy. All are black and white. Click here to see pictures. July 14, 2007 I keep going back-and-forth whether or not one of Sheena's boys is a tri. Sometimes when I look it appears that he has brown under his tail, but other times I think maybe it's just the light playing tricks. Sigh. Time will tell. Meanwhile, all five pups have gained weight and are doing well. July 12, 2007 Cap and Sheena's puppies have arrived! Sheena had five healthy babies this morning - 2 girls and 3 boys. Click here to see pictures. July 1, 2007 Bud (Bandit X Darcy) and Lace (Stewart X Jane) were both at the shows in Redmond, Oregon this weekend. Lace won Winners Bitch and Best of Winners on Saturday for her third 3-point major. On Sunday she won Winners Bitch and Best Opposite Sex, bringing her up to a total of 14 points. Congratulations, Lace and Karen! On Sunday Bud won Winners Dog and Best of Winners. This finished his championship with 15 points, including three majors. He is now Ch BonniDune This Bud's For Ewe HIAsd STDsdc. Congratulations, Bud, Sue and Ed! June 27, 2007 I just got some new pictures of Bud (Bandit X Darcy) and have updated his page. Check him out here. June 25, 2007 Cap's TNS and CL DNA results came back (he had already been tested for CEA). I'm happy to report that Cap is Genotype Clear/Normal for CEA, CL & TNS! June 23, 2007 Just got some great news about Bud (Bandit X Darcy). First of all, he received his OFA results. Hips Excellent, Elbows Normal. Second, he has been hitting the herding trial field again. Bud finished his Intermediate Duck title with a 1st place and a 3rd place. He also finished his Intermediate Sheep title with two 1st places! He is now BonniDune This Bud's For Ewe HIAsd STDsdc. Congratulations, Bud, Ed & Sue! June 21, 2007 The Advanced Herding Statistics for January 1 through March 31, 2007 are now available. Paige (DC BonniDune Front Paige News) is ranked Number 3 in both sheep and ducks! Congratulations, Paige and Terry! June 19, 2007 Blitz (Joey X Darcy) won Winners Dog and Best of Winners in Traverse City, Michigan this past Saturday. He is now up to 10 points, including both of his majors. Congratulations, Blitz & Trisha! Lace (Stewart X Jane) won Winners Bitch and Best of Winners in Gridley, California last Thursday. She now has 9 points, including both majors. Congratulations, Lace & Karen! June 14, 2007 I just got home from the vet's office where it was confirmed that Paige (DC BonniDune Front Paige News) & Sheena (BonniDune The Future Is Now) are pregnant. The proud papa of both litters is Cap Of Killiebrae! Paige is visiting BonniDune from her home in California just to have puppies. I had planned her litter to be Cap's first in the United States, and was hoping for a Sheena litter later. Sheena, however, had a different opinion on the matter! While waiting for Paige to come into season, Sheena decided to beat her 1/2 sister to the punch. I figured that breeding Sheena was the best way to ensure that Paige would come into season. It worked - Paige was ready to breed the following week. Although a bit apprehensive about having two litters at the same time, I'm very excited about both. Welcome to America, Cap! June 10, 2007 Lace (Stewart X Jane) won Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best Opposite Sex today in Washington for her second major. She now has 8 points and both majors. Congratulations, Lace and Karen! Littermate Do won Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best Opposite Sex today in Missouri for another point. He now has 8 points and one major. Congratulations, Do and Carol! June 3, 2007 Do (Stewart X Jane) won Winners Dog and Best of Winners today in Longmont, Colorado. He now has 7 points toward his championship, including one major. Congratulations, Do and Carol! May 30, 2007 An update on the Duncan X Sophie puppies. The two females are darkening as they get older, so now it appears that they are chocolate, not lilac. Also, sadly, one of the male puppies had problems from inhaling birth fluids and did not survive. My heartfelt sympathy goes to all at Gingerbell Border Collies who tried hard to save this baby. May 21, 2007 Melody earned her ASCA Started duck title this weekend with two 2nd places. Her second run went especially well, and she was just barely edged out of first place. Congratulations, Melody & Bob! May 17, 2007 Sophie and Duncan's puppies were born yesterday. Sophie had 4 black/white males and 2 lilac females. Congratulations to Gingerbell Border Collies! Click here for information. May 14, 2007 Blitz (Joey X Darcy) went to an agility trial and a show this past weekend. He picked up a First and a Third place in agility, then won Winners Dog/Best of Winners for two more points toward his breed championship. Congratulations, Blitz and Trisha! Do (Stewart X Jane) went to a 2-day conformation show. He won Best of Breed both days, but unfortunately there weren't any points available. Congratulations, Do and Carol! May 11, 2007 Paige (Bandit X Darcy) just got her OFA results. Her hips are OFA Good and her elbows are Normal. Congratulations, Terry & Paige! May 7, 2007 I just heard from Trisha that Blitz (Joey X Darcy) is at it again. He finished his AXJ this weekend with a first place. He also recently finished the advanced level in all his CPE Agility titles. He is now BonniDune Bombs Away RA HSAs AX AXJ NAP NF CL3-R CL3-H CL3-S CL3-F. Congratulations, Blitz & Trisha! May 6, 2007 Do (Stewart X Jane) earned his Tracking Dog title in Tulsa, Oklahoma today. He is now BonniDune's Pipe Down Mr McBeevee TD. Congratulations, Carol & Do! May 5, 2007 I'm not sure exactly when it happened, but I was looking at the AKC website today and discovered that wunderkind Blitz (Joey X Darcy) now has his RA title. Congratulations, Blitz & Trisha! Levi (Duncan X Haze) won Best Opposite Sex in Zolfo Springs, Florida on April 21, 2007. Congratulations, Levi & Syl! Some sad news, DC WTCh HTCh Kennelley's Bandit was given rest earlier this week. My sincere sympathy goes out to Terry Kenney, who has lost his best friend and helpmate. Thank you, Terry, for letting me breed Darcy to Bandit back in 2003. He lives on through his puppies, including the lovely Paige. If everything goes as planned, Paige will bring a new Bandit grandpup with her when she comes home. April 11, 2007 Duncan is going to be a daddy again, and this time his puppies will be born in Italy! Check out the upcoming litter at Gingerbell Border Collies here. (You have to scroll down the page a little bit.) April 9, 2007 Cap (ISDS 266571) just crossed the pond and is now in residence at BonniDune! Cap was the 2007 Westmorland League Nursery Champion with owner/handler Derek Scrimgeour. For more information, click here or go to "Meet the Dogs." I've changed some of my plans for upcoming litters, so be sure to check them out here. March 12, 2007 Blitz (Joey X Darcy) won a 3-point major in Auburn, Indiana on Saturday. Blitz now has 7 points, including both his majors. Congratulations, Blitz & Trisha! Lace (Stewart X Jane) went to her very first shows in Seattle, Washington and won a 3-point major on Sunday. Congratulations, Karen & Lace! And thank you to Emily Fish, who handled Lace. March 4, 2007 I am very thrilled to announce that BonniDune now has its first home-bred Dual Champion, DC BonniDune Front Paige News HXAsd AOM. “Paige” finished her Herding Championship Saturday, March 3, 2007, at the Border Collie Club of Greater Los Angeles’s herding trial. It is fitting that Paige finish this accomplishment at this trial, since she won Winners Bitch and a 5-point major at the club’s conformation show last May. Paige also won an Award of Merit at the BCCofGLA’s specialty in May of 2005 from the Herding Titled Bitch class. In addition to her outstanding specialty wins, Paige won a Herding Group 2 her first weekend as a special. In the herding venue she is a multiple High in Trial winner, and finished her Herding Championship with 3 majors. Paige is a third-generation Dual Champion. Her paternal granddam, DC Darkwind Stormin Kennelly, was the first Border Collie to be awarded the Dual Champion title. Her sire, DC Kenelly’s Bandit, is also a Dual Champion, as is her maternal grandsire, my own DC Majestic Outlander CDX. To say that I am proud is quite an understatement. Congratulations to Paige and her owner/trainer/handler, Terry Kenney! February 25, 2007 Paige (Bandit X Darcy) earned 3 more Herding Championship points, and her third major! Congratulations, Terry and Paige! February 21, 2007 I've been working on the website some, but it is currently still in transition. Ch Wildblue Silver Haze now has a page in the "Close Friends" section. Ch Wildair Back In Black's page has also been moved to that area, since she is now back with her breeder/owner, Bonnie Harris. The Stewart X Jane puppies that BonniDune co-owns, Do and Lace, have new pages available from "Meet the Dogs". Unfortunately neither page has pictures yet, but that should be remedied soon. BonniDune will be adding a new dog to the family in the next month or two. I am very excited about this new addition, and will post details when he arrives. February 19, 2007 At the tender age of 6 months and 1 week, BonniDune's Pipe Down Mr McBeevee (Stewart X Jane) went to his first shows at the Rocky Mountain Cluster. The first day "Do" went Reserve and also won Best Puppy in Breed. On Saturday, at his second show, Do won Winners Dog and Best of Winners for a 4-point major. Do ended the Cluster with Winners Dog again, bringing home a total of 6 points. Congratulations, Do and Carol! While in Colorado, Do also got hooked up to a sled with some Siberian Husky pals and went mushing. He did great, showing again that he's more than willing to "Do" whatever Carol asks! February 16, 2007 Blitz (Joey X Darcy) and Trisha are at it again. Blitz has now earned his AX title and his NF title. NF is the first level in the new AKC "Agility Fast" program and it's no surprise that Blitz is doing well in any competition with the word "Fast" in it!. Congratulations, Blitz and Trisha! Additionally, Blitz's AX title qualifies Joey to be a BCSA ROMX sire. Congratulations, Joey & Joyce! Cameo (Duncan X Hazie) had her ultrasound and she is not pregnant. Needless to say we are all very disappointed. January 18, 2007 Cameo (Duncan X Hazie) has been bred to BIS Aust/Fin/Est/Am Ch Nahrof The Cohort TD HSAs AOM AOE. She'll go for an ultrasound in about 4 weeks to see if puppies are on the way. Blitz (Joey X Darcy) now has four points towards his breed championship. He won WD/BOW for a 3-point major while on vacation in Florida. More good news for Blitz - his hips scored OFA Good. Congratulations, Trisha & Blitz. January 4, 2007 Duncan's Best Veteran In Sweeps picture is now on his page. Click here or go to "Meet the Dogs". I also updated my special events section. I added more pictures from Lexington and created a new page for my 2006 trip to England. Click here or go to "Meet the Dogs". December 4, 2006 Paige (Bandit X Darcy) finished her AKC breed Championship in Yuma, Arizona with a Best of Breed over a Special. She is now Ch BonniDune Front Paige News HXAs. She moved up out of the classes the next three days, winning an additional two Best of Breeds. She then put icing on the cake by winning a Group 2!!! Congratulations to Paige and Terry! Ch BonniDune Blue Jay (Duncan X Hazie) received an OFA Hip Score of Good. Jay is following in his daddy Duncan's pawprints and is currently busy training in both obedience and herding. October 29, 2006 The BCSA offered Veteran Sweeps this year for the first time and Duncan won Best Veteran in Sweeps! He was totally out of coat, but once he started gaiting around that ring, it didn't matter. At 9 1/2 years old, he still covers ground effortlessly. Thank you to Ronni DeLay, Duncan's breeder, for her outstanding handling of Duncan in the breed ring. Stewart competed in the Open Dog class at the National and won 4th place on Saturday and 3rd place on Sunday. Thanks again to Ronni for handling my boy. Fly (Bandit X Darcy) earned her APDT Novice Rally title and even finished her 3rd leg with a 5th place. She is now BonniDune's Wanna Fly By Dawn RN CGC HIC RL1. Congratulations, Fly and Casey!
